The Big One


After two years, this little experiment of mine has gotten a significant update.

It's still a "Plaintext" Edition, but a lot has changed under the hood.  Few things were left untouched.

  • Starting Weapons are now created by players instead of being given a list.
  • System Shock has been remade.
  • The Gamma Specification and Infuser Classification join the avaible options for your Class, increasing the amount of possible combinations from 25 to 36.
  • All Specifications and Classifications have been reworked and expanded upon. They now feature three Powers each, with each Power featuring two Upgrades instead of one.
  • Due to the above, Anomaly Hunters can now equip six Abilities instead of five when planning for a Mission.
  • The Drone Weapon Range Tag got simplified. Medium Weapon Range Tag became Shot and is no longer usable for Melee Range. The Massive Descriptive Weapon Tag has its "Impact 1 penalty" oddity removed.
  • Post-Mission Progression got reworked and is generally more generous.
  • Frames are a new advanced reward for completing missions reminiscent of the sets of Armor Parts from the source inspiration.
