METALUMAN Plaintext Edition

It is the year 21[MISSING]. Metalumans, advanced human-like robots, coexist with the rest of humanity in a world beginning to seriously reach for space and their neighboring planets. But several groups of corrupted Metalumans, so-called Anomalies, disturb the peace with attacks on both human and Metaluman societies, especially in the recently-founded homeland of the latter, the sprawling city-nation of Neopon.

You are an Anomaly Hunter. Dedicated to fight Anomalies wherever they appear, you prepare for Missions, go deep into an Anomaly's territory and defeat them before returning to Base, enjoying the short-lived calm before getting ready for yet another Anomaly-shaped storm...

This is METALUMAN, an Illuminated tabletop RPG using Gila RPG's LUMEN system as its engine and foundation for fast-paced action inspired by Capcom's MegaMan X series.

This is also my very first upload to this site, the very first self-made tabletop RPG I released, and it's also been made for the LUMEN Jam.

Full disclosure, I discovered the LUMEN system roughly a week before the first release, fell in love with it and made some notes before spontaneously deciding to make a submission for said Jam after all. The entire document (preserved as the Lumen Jam Edition) had been written within 48 hours, it is not a professionally-made work, it is not playtested and I fully expect people to find broken combos within a few sessions. Also English isn't my first language and it didn't get the full proofreading experience, so expect a typo here or there.

Two years after its first release, I decided to update the system, and these updates were massive. Version 1.5 is, frankly-speaking, sloppy, but included several milestones that shaped the direction of where I wanted to go. Version 1.6 is a more polished work and METALUMAN likely not be updated beyond that, barring correcting typos or the (unlikely) release of a fully-realized product with artwork, layout design and all the good stuff.
